Frequently Asked QuestionsI'll add new FAQ's to the TOP of this list. Last update - 16, March 2008 Do I need a set of nice clothes besides my concert outfit? The only other time we'll be in "uniform" will be during the Your Instrumental workshop on Saturday morning. At that time you'll be asked to wear your Red or Gold shirt and a nice pair of bluejeans. All your other clothing should always allow you to look nice but you don't need anything formal. Can I use extra funds in my account to purchase things on the trip or trip gear? No. Funds from your account can only be used to fund the actual trip. Souveniers, trip gear and the like can not, by school district policy, be used. How much spending money should I bring? - This question is THE #1 question on any trip and is easily answered. I don't know. It depends on how much money you have. Some students bring a lot of money, some bring very little. My family has established a budget for souveniers. We understand that you can all your money in ONE place if your not careful.....and that's just the airport. So whatever you bring, understand that there may be one special place from which you want a souvenier. Spend accordingly. When is the due date for the $50 Fuel Surcharge? - Please plan on paying the fuel charge by March 21. If the funds are in your account I'll take them out this week. What should we bring to wear? - You'll need your Concert Tux or Dress as well as a nice pair of pants and shirt for the "You're Instrumental" workshop. It's usually best to dress in layers. Have combinations that work well. It may be cooler in the evening than during the day. Also - be sure and have that swimsuit for the beach. Most importantly, have comfortable footwear. You'll be spending a lot of time on your feet. Take good care of them. Will I need sunscreen? - YES!!! Your little pale Montana skin is going to be in for some serious sun rays. Since the beach is one of the first activities we'll have - you don't want to be a painful lobster imitation for the rest of the tour. Take care of your lips as well. Sunscreen should be a manditory compliment to your travel package. What if I have to bring more than one instrument? - Chaperones are happy to add an instrument to their travel baggage as needed. Should I bring all the reeds, mutes and other supplies I need or can I get those items in Florida? You need to bring everything with you. Although they no doubt have those things in Florida it will be difficult to get those items since we'll be traveling by motorcoach. Some members of my family are meeting me in Florida, can I join them for a meal or outing? NO. Once you leave the group, your tour with us will be finished. You will need to find your own flight home. Your family is welcome to join us for our activities and performances but you absolutely are not permitted to leave the group at anytime. Will we get money for meals? Yes, you will be given $10 per meal as needed in the itinerary. All meals on the trip are covered by your trip payment. Some are nice dinners with the group, others are "on your own" in various parks or at the beach. If you think you need more than $10 for a meal, it may we wise to bring some extra money for food. Breakfasts are covered at the Hotel. You'll frequently get cash for lunch. Dinners are provided as a part of the Tour Company's Package. You'll be given money for lunch on travel days as well.
