Current Fund Raising EffortsCurrent Personal Account Total: Click here How Fund Raising Works: There are two parts to Fund Raising, a Student part and a Parent part. The Hellgate Band program works with the student part. The main fund raising efforts are the magazine sale in the fall and the Citrus and Sausage sale in late October and November. These efforts are run by the Director of Bands. Money from these efforts are brought to school and the appropraite percentage of profit is put into each student's individual account. Account records are kept by the director. The director determines the need for any additional sales, keeping in mind that the band is primarily made up of student musicians rather than sales people. The Band Parent fund raising efforts are centered on the parents. The Band Parents do not invent fund raising activities for the band. One of the main thrusts of the Band Parents has been the Fry Bread Booth at the Western Montana Fair each year. Although the booth uses the time and energy of the student, the planning, preparation and funding is all done through the Band Parents. Money earned by the parents for their student is listed in the Individual Account kept by the director. Money earned from that event or any other Band Parent effort stays with the Hellgate Band Parents Inc. until it's needed by the student.
